Not receiving email notifications reminders about certain events? Having trouble with emails sent from Sez17.com entering your junk or spam mailbox folder? Needing to add the webmaster email address to your safe sender list?

Normally the first time an email message generated from Sez17.com is sent to your email address, it is filtered into your SPAM or JUNK folder, mainly because it originated from an unknown site. Once you find that initial email or any subsequent emails from dvs@sez17.com or on behalf of dvs@sez17.com or davesez@tabbuts.dreamhost.com, you will want to place sez17.com and tabbuts.dreamhost.com onto your email application safe list. This enables any subsequent emails messages received to be directed to your Inbox verses being filtered and potentially lost. To assure you receive email notifications from the website, the Email Settings page provides help on configuring your email application to add sez17.com to your safe list. This will help your stay connected to your friends, teammates and coaches as well as receive updates on upcoming events.

When accessing a secure portion of the website, login credentials are required. Your login credentials include a User Id and Password. Both the user id and the password is free form text. After logging in successfully, you may not have priviledges to access certain portions of the website. If you receive a 'You do not have privledges to the page you are attempting to access' message, this means that you have successfully logged in but you cannot access the designated website section. This way if you return to the sez17 website in the future, if you have cookies turned on, the website will automatically sign you in. To confirm that you are logged in, your user id should be visable in the upper right corner of the website. To enable cookies, use the following steps:

Seeing additional dots appear in the password field after you submit your login ID and password? When you return to the site, you are always asked to login again? The Login screen continues to appear after submitting your ID and password?
When submitting your login ID and password on the Login page, an encryption routine runs just prior to sending your credential information. This routine will expand your password before it is sent which is why more dots appear in the password field after you click submit; this is normal. This encryption unfortunately prevents the built in browser feature (like Firefox Password Manager) that offers to save your login information for the next time you visit the website from working. Instead, the Sez17 website stores your login information in a browser cookie that will log you in automatically when you return to the website.

If the Login page is still popping up when you navigate back to the Sez17 website, then your browser security settings may be too high preventing the Sez17 cookie from being stored. The previous section describes how to set Sez17 as a trusted website to make your login experience much much easier. If the Login screen continues to appear after you submit your login information, then your userId or password are being input incorrectly. Check if Num Lock or Caps Lock is on as both the userId and password are case sensative. Click on the Forgot Password link on the Login screen and click submit to get to the Change Password screen where you can enter your email address or your User ID to have your user id emailed to you with a link to change your password. Please allow up to 5 minutes to receive the email with the Change Password link. The link does expire so use it with haste. To confirm that you are already logged in, your user id should be visable in the upper right corner of the website.

Trying to buy or sell stock on the Sez Stock Exchange? Wondering when the market opens and closes? Want to buy or sell when the market is closed?
After logging into the Sez Stock Exchange, click on the Buy Stock or Sell Stock links at the top to execute the appropriate transaction. You may initiate a transaction at any time but execution of the transaction will only occur while the market is open. The market is open between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday (weekdays). Any transaction made outside of these hours (while the market is closed) will be saved (as a pending transaction) and executed at 9:00 AM on the next business day at the opening asking price. Note that the previous day closing price may not be the same as the following day opening price for pending transactions. All players will purchase stock at the asking price and sell stock at bid price (may be different). If you wish to change the number of shares for a pending transaction, you may submit another transaction against the same stock with the same or opposite action prior to the 9 AM execution time of the next available execution date. The exchange will cancel any pending transaction when it goes to execute it if the appropriate funds are not available.

Want to buy or sell stock when it reaches a certain price? Want to limit the number of shares you buy or sell at certain prices? Trying to maximize your stock transaction based on your most current liquid assets?
After logging into the Sez Stock Exchange, click on the Portfolio link at the top to view your stock portfolio. Then click on the View Limit Orders button. The corresponding page that loads will display your current limit orders and has a Create Limit Order button to create a new limit order. The create limit order page is split into four sections which include action (buy or sell), shares (exactly, atleast, at most), stock and price (limit) fields. Fill in the appropriate fields and click the Submit button to enter your new limit order which goes into effect on the next stock price change.

Bought or sold stock on the Sez Stock Exchange, but at what price? You bought 10 shares at 50 playdough per share but it costed 501.20? Submitted a purchase or sale but your portfoloio was not updated?
When buying stock on the Sez Stock Exchange, you pay the asking price multipled by the number shares plus a transaction fee. When selling stock on the Sez Stock Exchange, you pay the bid price multipled by the number shares plus a transaction fee. Every transaction is subject to a flat and share-based transaction fee. The flat fee for any transacation is 1 playdough. The share-based fee is 0.02 playdough per share. Hence for the purchase of 10 shares at an asking price of 50 playdough, the transaction fee would be 1 playdough (flat) plus 0.20 playdough (share-based) for a total transaction cost of 1.20 playdough.Once a transaction is executed, it may take up to 30 seconds for the transaction to update your profile. If your profile is not updated after that time, you may have attempted to purchase stock at a total cost greater than your current playdough or you may have attempted to sell more stock than you own. Both attempts will result in a warning message on the website. Please remember the transaction fees when making a purchase as the total cost may exceed your liquid assets.

How can I find out if certain stocks are being bought and sold? Where can I see the transactions executed today? How often is the Stock Ticker updated?
To investigate stock movement within the market, you may view the stock's profile and track the number of outstanding shares at any point in time. This value will fluctuate as the stock is bought and sold. All current day transactions (buys and sells) will be posted on the Stock Ticker. The ticker will display the stock symbol, the number of shares bought or sold, the transaction price, and the current day's price change in the following format: STOCK shares price change. If you leave the Stock Ticker running in the background, it will refresh every 2 minutes with the latest market changes.

Where do I go to find what stocks that I purchased at what price? How do I find my history of transactions with the exchange? Is there a way to determine when I sold a particular stock?
To investigate the stocks you have purchased or sold in the past, go to your Portfolio and click on one of the links under the Transaction History section at the bottom of the page. The 1-day link will display the current day's transactions. The 7-day and Month links will display all transactions between the current day and a week or month back, respectively. The Season link will display all of the transactions made for the season. The transaction history displays the date, stock symbol, action (buy or sell), number of shares and the transaction price.

How do I see the real time price changes for a stock? Where do I go to find how a stock's price changed over time? Is there a way to see the stock price deltas between days?
To investigate a stock's price changes over time, click on the stock symbol in the Stock List. At the bottom of the page under the Transaction History section, there are links to filter the stock's history. The 1-day link will display the current day's prices. The 7-day and Month links will display all open and close prices between the current day and a week or month back, respectively. The Season link will display all of the price changes for the season. Team Building Event

Wondering how this team building event works? Trying to figure out the end goal? What do I do first? How long does it last?
Once you receive the email notification that the event has begun, you have a set time limit to make as large a profit as possible. To do so, you will need to sell your items at a profit. What items you ask? You will need to sell the items for which you control which are listed on your Role page. For all roles except for the buyer, someone will contact you to purchase items from you. You do not start with any quantity of items so you will need to communicate with your buyer contact (listed on the Buy Item page) to purchase the items you need from that person/role. You can mark-up your sale price to maximize your profit. Just be warned, if your price is too high, you may not be able to sell your items which will result in zero profit. The goal is to be the participant with the most profit once the event ends.

To play, contact the seller of the items that you need through whichever medium best works for you, for example: office visit, Skype, Mattermost, text, email, IM, UPS, FEDEX or US mail. Once you come to agreement with the buyer or seller, you can initiate a request to buy or sell items by clicking on the Buy Item or Sell Item, respectively. A notification will be sent to the person you selected in your request. That person can Approve or Disapprove your request. You can view all of your pending and approved requests from the Transactions page. A transaction request can only be approved if the seller already has approved purchase(s) of the quantity of items that have been requested. Once you have approved transactions to buy and sell (except for the Buyer role) the needed items, you are done. All approved transactions are final; no approved transactions can be cancelled or returned. When the event time expires, the Final Summary page will display the final results for all players.
